The Glove of Thaumaturgic Permanency is an Imperial relic worked from a soft metal - likely mithril - into the delicate shape of a fashionable ball-glove. Legend holds that it can make any magical effect it touches, or that is cast through it, permanent.

Some credit much of the Empire’s achievement to this glove, though scholars give the claim little weight: spells that “anchor” magical effects exist in the present day as well. The glove’s true distinction seems to be that it performs such anchoring without cost. Its whereabouts are unknown, and there is no evidence of its use since The Collapse.
