Crisinya

Description

Physical Appearance

An elderly half-orc in thick, threadbare priestly wool - robes that may once have been snow-white but have greyed with years of use. Her eyes hold a deep, abiding sadness, yet carry such quiet resolve that they lend her an air of dignity.

Personality

Patient, humble, and immovably kind. She chooses to live as the simplest of peasants, holding that humility teaches compassion, and she does not flinch from the worst of a person - not even from the cursed back of a self-confessed murderer.

Biography

Crisinya is an old half-orc priestess of Eleos (whom she names Alausos, the Lady of the Dawn), keeper of a small and isolated monastery high in the mountains of the Holy Theocracy of Olympus. Hearing, on a prison visit, of a broken man who harmed himself without end and spoke to the empty air, she believed her goddess had led her to a soul in need of mercy, and by religious decree took Tristis Praesidium out of his cell and into her care. Through patience, mercy patrols among the suffering, and the triune teaching that justice wears three faces, she led him at last to confront himself - and to choose to become a giver of mercy rather than the monster in his mirror.
