Theira is a woman of almost 40, with short, straight black hair, fair skin, and blue eyes. Her build is average-to-muscular and her height is roughly average (about 1.68 m). She is clever, a little crude, very sociable, easy-going, full of the joy of life, and beloved by more or less everyone who has ever met her.

Biography
Theira was born 39 springs ago on a bright, promising summer’s day in the Lexalian Republic, to a family of middling means. Her father, Albert, was a former soldier who was wounded and took up a new trade as a blacksmith; her mother, Aasa, was a seamstress who died in the stillbirth of Theira’s little brother, when Theira was eight. After his wife’s death, her father - who never remarried - did his best to steer her toward a good and fulfilling life. To that end he directed her toward the study of herbalism, the clerical arts, and medicine, and toward a military career. Theira did her best, and although she fit in easily in both her studies and military life, she found that the constant struggle and hardship, the rigid demands of the service, and the wounds that passed through her hands scarred her spirit so deeply that she chose to discharge and seek a new life. Her father supported her despite his disappointment and longing, and she set out on her wanderings.
The start of her travels was hard and lonely, but freeing. Along the way she fell in with a small band of adventurers, who were glad to have a cleric join them. Her journey lasted several months, until she reached Haymerkate, where she chose to settle and work at a local clinic, missing as she did the feeling of belonging and putting down roots. About a year later, during one of the most severe shortages the Vishnu Monastery had ever known of a common medicine’s ingredient, the monastery’s coordinator of herbalism and medicine was sent to Haymerkate to find that ingredient and the seeds of the plant from which it is made. Theira met her when the coordinator came into the clinic seeking a solution to the shortage. The friendship that grew between them led Theira to leave Haymerkate and join the monastery as an assistant coordinator and physician.
