The Doom Banishers were the followers who gathered around Ismareldor, the Crimson Knight after his exile from the White Wardens. They shared his conviction that the war against monsters must be waged offensively, and they followed him across the world as that war turned toward a graver target: the demons behind the monsters, and the source of the Fiend Floods.
Under Ismareldor the order’s purpose darkened into his doomed plan to unleash the prisoners of Tartarus against the fiends of Mictlan. The Doom Banishers were undone at the plains of Pelgarath, where their leader’s ritual destroyed him.
