Giants
Giants
Nature Ancient ruling race History Warred with the dragons; fought in the wars of the gods Now Few; withdrawn to isolated lands, awaiting Ragnarök Kin Ogres, goliaths, firbolgs
The giants were an ancient race that once ruled the world for an age. After a mighty war with the dragons, few of them remained - but those who survived fought in the wars of the gods, at the side of their own gods. When that war ended, all the giants were locked outside the Prime, together with their gods.
When the seals shattered, the giants returned to the world and set about trying to seize it for their own. But they were few, and they agreed to Odin’s bargain: to withdraw into isolated regions and there await Ragnarök. A scattered remnant keep what minimal ties they have with mortals. The ogres were made during the days the giants ran free; the goliaths are descendants of giants; and the firbolgs are giants who were touched by the Feywild.
