Arnard Stein
Arnard Stein
Race Human Profession Soldier and special-unit commander Status Deceased Killed by Tignor Andviler
Arnard Stein commanded a special force of about twenty soldiers during a campaign in the swamps. As the main army retreated, his unit remained behind with minimal equipment and four large barrels whose purpose he concealed from everyone else. They pushed through enemy territory for three days and lost eight soldiers along the way.
On the third day, Arnard revealed that the barrels contained oil and alchemical accelerants. His mission was to burn the swamp. The soldiers spread the mixture across the trees, brush, and water, but when Arnard drew a firestone to ignite it, Tignor Andviler killed him to prevent the destruction. Arnard was the first person Tignor killed when his own life was not under threat.
