Tignor Andviler
Tignor Andviler
Race Human Profession Woodcutter; former soldier; nature-mage Weapon Axe and leather shield Band The Faithful Companions
Tignor Andviler, a blacksmith’s son from a small town in northern Arkania, loved the forests above all. Conscripted into the local lord’s army at nineteen, he fought in the swamps with an axe - and there, amid the misery, found a strange wonder in the wild new nature around him.
Chosen for a special unit left behind during a retreat, he learned its true mission only on the third day: to burn the swamp with oil and alchemical fire. Horrified, Tignor killed his commander, Arnard Stein, to stop it - the first life he took without his own being in danger - and fled wounded into the marsh, where an arrow felled him. He was saved by Avendril, a wizard elf in green who would become his wife.
In the years after, Avendril died of illness; Tignor raised their son Avenor as a woodcutter near a mage-warded cave. When Avenor wandered into that cave and fell under a curse that locked him in an endless coma, Tignor took up his old gear and Avendril’s spellbook and set out to find a cure. His magic draws on living things - plant or beast - to heal, ward, and strike.
