Arthur Chase is a wanted criminal and mercenary of The Raza, known for his arsenal of named weapons and his unique command of gravity - and, infamously, for having relieved himself in the Fountain of the Gods in Difloa, making him the most wanted man alive for public urination.
Biography
He was born Andrew Morgasten Welfsore, younger brother of Olita and second son of the Duke of House Welfsore. His sheltered childhood ended when House Inkula massacred his family. Andrew was perhaps six, too young to understand what had happened. When Inkula’s thugs found him, their leader took pity and raised the boy as his own. Chase thus had two fathers, the second having slaughtered the first.
He grew into the mercenary life and was already a wanted criminal and sword-for-hire before joining the Raza. His limited magic and unusual command of gravity are attributed to a bloodline about which little information survived. He is cruel more as an afterthought than from deliberate evil: apathetic, concerned with being heard, but uninterested in changing the structure of authority. Chase names the weapons in his extensive arsenal, though the source records none of those names.
