Atys Petri

Atys Petri is the eldest of the thirteen heirs of the Petri Family, the marble magnates of Kepostheon. Wise, and prizing knowledge and diplomacy above all, he serves as chief scribe to a lord of Clairnia - a post made delicate by the fact that he and his employer are secret lovers, a thing that could ruin them both were it known to rival politicians. In his idle hours he indulges a quiet passion for deciphering ancient Clairnian treasure-maps, which he buys cheaply and no-questions-asked from a trusted contact and whose finds he sells back for a fifteenth share. He has grown wealthy at it - though mostly he does it for the love of the puzzle.
