Biography

Jafner is the son of the judge Bare Formidler and the seer Vita, born during the War of Horrors. His bond with his hard father was always loose, and somewhere in the midst of the war - unable to bear Bare’s rigidity - he broke away and fled to join a monk order in the Hub.

Years later he vanished from that monastery, slipping away only days before a cabal of fiend-worshippers was discovered among the monks. The grandmaster suspects he was involved; his parents fear he may have gone deeper into the abyss than any mortal should, and have set out to find him - hoping to save him, but bracing for the possibility that he is already too far gone.
