Pisma Janbir

Pisma Janbir is a goblin who grew up among the western port cities of Jaknia. Her family were slaves to a local merchant, and from a young age she was pushed to steal to feed her siblings. A childhood of cruelty and trauma led her to a bleak conclusion: that life is a kind of torture, invented to pass pain through creatures like her.

She met her patron, Amilius Grandt - the renowned demon-slayer - while trying to pick his pocket. He saw something in her and chose to abduct her - and she was too numb to resist. To her surprise, he meant her no harm: he taught her a little of how to fight, and has been trying to help her work out what she wants from life. For now, she has decided she wants to learn whether her grim view of the world is true, and whether there are other strange, suffering creatures like herself. She feels little, but is driven by some urge that still burns in her.

She came to the contest for the Ring of Unshackled Desire among Amilius’s wards.
