Sir Cadmus Lapel

Description

Physical Appearance

A small man, shorter than most - yet in his black armor, with his air of cold superiority, he carries himself like a walking tower, “like a pillar made of metal that could not be scratched or moved.”

Personality

Regal but seldom just, treating his lessers with a restrained contempt that barely passes for patience. He never swears, though a gleam of anger and resentment surfaces in his eyes from time to time. He is determined, tough, and charismatic - and utterly without scruple in victory: he will fight with all a knight’s honour until he begins to lose, then win by any means, for, as he says, “winning at all cost - death is not worth honour, for it would be a betrayal of our cause.”

Biography

Sir Cadmus Lapel is a roving knight bound to no church or holy institution. He took a desperate, low-born youth as his apprentice, claiming to see potential in him that his “Lord” would also see, and trained him for five years in arms, armour, and leadership. In time he brought the young man to a quiet abbey in the northern reach of the Hub and revealed the truth of his service.
