The Prideful are the mortal servants of Lucifer, the Angel of Pride and Archfiend of the sixth layer of Mictlān. They are not bound to any church or institution of holiness; they are knights and strong-willed souls who accepted the Fallen One’s bargain - strength comes to those brave enough to take it - and were remade by it.

Each of the Prideful is charged by their Lord to become as strong as they can, to relish in that strength, and to spread discord and pain wherever they walk - to make the world tremble at their names and so bring the armies of Mictlān one step nearer to victory. They carry themselves with a knight’s bearing and honour, but hold above all the creed of winning at any cost, for to die for honour’s sake would be to betray the cause. Among their number are the knights Sir Cadmus Lapel and his pupil Sir Redmus Bondar.
