The Andorf Mountains
The Andorf Mountains
Type Mountain range Notable features [[Area-Senegarte Pass
The Andorf Mountains are a range on the borderlands of the Holy Theocracy of Olympus and the Hub, riddled with the rich mines that first built the town of Haymerkate at their feet, and crossed by the Senegarte Pass that links Haymerkate to Verra. Beyond the well-travelled routes the range is wild and beast-haunted - prone to rockslides, and home to wolves and worse - and among its peaks stands Mount Trudwing, where the old sage Tenmas keeps his seclusion.
The Cobalt Terror and the Kobold Tribes
The true rulers of the Andorfs are the kobold tribes and their god, the great ascended terror dragon Ko Arto. For decades, the whims of Ko Arto dictated the rise and fall of the regional economy. Decades ago, the kobold chieftain Dulo formed a historic pact with Verra; the kobolds carved out the tunnels of the Senegarte Pass in exchange for permanent domain over their mountain lands, whilst pledging to shield Verra from Ko Arto’s wrath. Today, Dulo’s son Molo honors his mother’s pact, fiercely guarding the sacred valleys where Ko Arto’s brood remains hidden.
An Isolated Refuge
Beyond the draconic and tribal strongholds, the Andorf Mountains are also known to house an isolated monk monastery. Accessible only to those who endure the freezing ascents and brutal terrain, the secluded monks who inhabit it have long dedicated themselves to mastering martial perfection far away from the politics of the Hub.
