Octavius Katro is a descathi magic-user of The Raza - ruthless, efficient, and possessed of an academic’s vanity.

Biography

He was one of the head researchers behind the Girl in the Volcano project, and was to be publicly tried as a scapegoat for his involvement - until, mid-trial, he used his magic to destroy the court and escape. He joined the Raza years later and made his name as a cold, capable caster. He also published a book, The Cycle of Ages, much derided in academic circles for its conviction that history moves through recurring “Ages of Heroes” - and that one is dawning now.
