The EmberCats
The EmberCats are best known across the Hub as a smuggling network, begun in Teremisis and since spread wide, moving goods - and people - past borders and watchful authorities. Mere association with them can bring a charge in the cities they work.
That smuggling trade, however, is only the front. In truth the EmberCats are the Cult of the Ravaging Inferno - one of the great elemental cults, devoted to the worship of elemental fire and of Imix, the Eternal Flame. Behind the contraband and the bribes lies a congregation that reveres the all-consuming flame, led by Wanifer; the network’s reach makes ideal cover for the cult’s gatherings, recruitment, and stranger work.
