The Typhoon Inn

The Typhoon Inn is a tavern deep in the slums of a city of the Holy Theocracy of Olympus - long known to all as the last stronghold of the city’s gangs. To step inside without being a gang member was, at best, to leave in need of stitches and a new jaw.

When the tyrant Anton de Bousherie was asked why he suffered the inn and its underground gang culture to survive, he answered that it was no stronghold but a grave: the once-feared gangs had been reduced within its walls to “tigers in a circus,” murderous but tamed. He forgot that a caged tiger is a force waiting to break loose - as it did the day a baker’s son named Tristis Praesidium kicked in its rotten door, won a knife-duel against the gang chief Gradient Lapidus, and forged the survivors into the Hounds of Nemesis.
