Nessa Gorin is a guarded, gifted sorceress of The Merry Bunch - once-wealthy, now self-made, and quietly in love with Aldor.

Biography

Nessa grew up in luxury on her father’s vineyard estate, every need met - and yet never truly happy, forever forcing smiles she could not explain. When a red storm destroyed the vineyards, she fell from comfort to begging for food and shelter; her father, broken by the loss, sickened and died. On the night of his death she came into her magic, uncontrolled and frightening, and fled into the world. She later joined the Merry Bunch, but in 1537 left in the night - ashamed that her power lagged the others - and apprenticed under Talna of the Juggernaut 3, returning in 1539 to save the group at the battle of three pillars, now sure of her craft.
