Achilius Clint - the Hero of the East, also called Thunderheart - is an Aasimar demigod, the son of Zeus and the famous bard-turned-hero Bynard Clint. He is best remembered as the architect of the Verra Accords, the landmark treaty that created the Hub and ended the proxy wars between the four great powers.

Description

Physical Appearance

Achilius (35) is 2 meters tall, with onyx skin, rippling muscles, and dark hair cut short with a white sideburn. His face is sharp yet kind, and his grey eyes have bursts of white and blue to them, and his skin crackles with lightnings. He is holding a spear wrought from a deep blue metal, a round, gold and brown shield, and wears a half plate from a metal that is rose white.

Personality

Despite his status and fame, Achilius is kind and forthcoming. He goes out of his way to be respectful and accommodating to others, and despite knowing his own worth will always find the time to commend the efforts and contributions of those who are weaker than him.

Biography

Achilius is best remembered as the architect of the Verra Accords (also called the Verra Treaty, and nicknamed the Clint Accords in political circles). After years of territorial disputes, proxy skirmishes, and trade embargoes between the four great powers - Clairnia, the Jaknian Conglomerate, the Lexalian Republic, and the Holy Theocracy - it was Achilius who initiated and led the negotiations that brought all four to the table. The resulting treaty, signed in 1519 and ratified again by all four rulers in 1540, created the Hub: a shared, demilitarized neutral territory governed jointly by the four nations, and the birthplace of the very concept of international law.

The accords gave the world the reprieve it needed to turn its full strength against the War of Horrors, and it is for this work that Achilius is honoured across all four nations as the Hero of the East.
