Celestial
Celestial
Script Celestial Family Divine Primary speakers Gods, celestial creatures, Hochlings
Overview
Celestial is more a blanket term for the languages of the gods than a single tongue. These languages carry an air of gravitas that no other language can convey. Those learning them often mix them together, and though the gods each choose their own dialect to speak in, the differences are not great enough to cause confusion.
Phonology & Script
Celestial is defined less by sound than by gravitas - an inherent weight that marks it as the speech of the divine. Its many dialects remain mutually intelligible, so that the choice of a god’s dialect colours, but never obscures, the meaning. It is written in the radiant Celestial script.
Speakers
- The gods and their celestial servants.
- Hochlings - the divine-blooded among the Half Bloods.
