Angrboda is “the one who brings grief, the mother of monsters” - a dark power who calls to mortals to serve her. Her voices are said to come on the wind and in the snow, whispering to those who will listen and bending them, in time, toward her.

Of late a new and harmful faith of Angrboda has begun to take root among the Goliath tribes - a creeping cult the tribes themselves fear and fight to stamp out before it can spread. It was the voices of Angrboda, heard in the snow, that drew a cursed Goliath warrior-woman from her tribe, never to return; and her daughter after her, who grew up on those stories and came to believe.
