The Chained Pantheon

The Chained Pantheon is the elder dynasty of gods - the Titans - who ruled the cosmos before the Olympians cast them down. For their defeat they were imprisoned in Tartarus, the deepest pit of the Greek underworld, and there they remain bound - which is why their faith is named for chains.

History

The Titans were the first powers born of the primordial order, overthrown in the war that raised the Olympians to rule. Tartarus, the realm of the wicked where souls receive eternal punishment, is also their prison. A few - like Prometheus, who is said to have favoured mortals - are remembered with something other than fear.

Cronus (time and harvest), Hyperion (the sun), Oceanus (the sea and rivers), Coeus (intelligence), Iapetus (patron of mortals), Phoebe (wisdom), Mnemosyne (memory), Theia (sight), Atlas (strength, condemned to bear the sky), Prometheus (fire, friend of mortals), and Themis (justice).
