Maricha, the Great Deceiver, is the Archfiend of the third layer of Mictlān, whose creed is that ignorance is bliss and truth a weapon to be shattered.

Divine Domain

Maricha’s domain is deception and the destruction of knowledge. His realm, the Obsidian Mountain (Itztépetl), is a jagged, reflective mountain riddled with endless caves and tunnels that serve as impossible libraries - full of true, false, and destructive knowledge alike. It is a labyrinth where every step cuts the soul and every reflection shows a twisted version of the truth, as fiendish scholars and mirror demons distort perception until reality and fabrication become indistinguishable.

One of the nine Archfiends of the Mictlān Pantheon, united with them against divine rule.
