Fazen is the Paragon of Safety - once a bright dragon of exceptional might, raised to godhood as the divine counterbalance to Temeria. Older and provincial accounts know him by other names; in some tellings - and among certain kobold priesthoods - the god of good dragons is called Kasiamor.

Divine Domain

Rather than simply the god of safety dragons, Fazen embodies the ideal of protection without domination. He holds all the aspects of safety in perfect balance - the shield’s protection, the hearth’s warmth, the dawn’s hope - and teaches that true security comes from empowering others rather than controlling them.

History

When the first Fiend Flood came and Temeria rallied the fear dragons against mortals, some safety dragons stood to aid the gods - led by a bright dragon of exceptional might. After leading the safety dragons through countless battles, that dragon was elevated by the gods to godhood, in gratitude and respect. This was Fazen.

Roles

As a god of dragonkind, Fazen is heeded as a respected king or general rather than prayed to as a creator. He stands as the eternal counterweight to Temeria’s fear, the patron of every dragon who protects rather than preys.

Relationships

• Temeria - the Queen of Fear, against whom Fazen was raised as counterbalance.
• Lonwan - the keeper of equilibrium between safety and fear.
• The safety dragons of Thelemar (see Dragons), whom he led and now patronises.
