Baba Yaga is an ancient and immensely powerful being of the Feywyld, named in dark tale the “Mother of all Hags” - though whether she truly mothered hag-kind or merely came to rule it is a thing some who study her insist is exaggerated. Apart from the fey courts dwell the hags, and it is Baba Yaga who leads them: despised by the rest of the fey, and fonder of bargains even than the bargain-loving folk around her.

Influence

Baba Yaga is a schemer of the most patient and manipulative kind, and her reach runs through the covens of hags scattered across the world - each striking its own cruel bargains, each (knowingly or not) a thread in some larger design. So feared is that design that a few rare souls have given their lives to suppressing her influence - hunting hags, carrying off the strange instruments they hoard, and undoing her bargains before they ripen. What she ultimately wants, none of them have ever been certain.
