Dike is the goddess of law in the Greek Pantheon - one of the three faces of the triple goddess of justice, alongside Eleos (mercy) and Nemesis (retribution). Where Eleos pleads for mercy, Dike holds that the law is important and must be honoured, and that there are times when the law must be allowed to condemn and to execute.
