Dendulra, the feyborn, are born of mortal and fey blood - the offspring of unions between the people of the material world and the alien inhabitants of the Feywyld. Some come of mortals who sought out the fey; others of mortals led astray by creatures they could never quite understand. One way or another, children come into the world carrying both bloods.

Personality

Dendulra are a people torn between two worlds, feeling curiosity and longing for both. Their fey blood grants long life and an irrepressible tendency toward playfulness and joy; their mortal blood anchors them to reality with responsibility and gravity. Most dendulra lives are defined by this duality and the lifelong search for balance within it - and as they age and their mortal friends wither, many find themselves drawn back toward the Feywyld.

Appearance

Dendulra are easily distinguished from regular-born Children: they have large, vividly colored - often multicolored - eyes, and come in all shapes and sizes, tending toward the energetic and playful. Their most striking feature is their hair, which sometimes sprouts small leaves, petals, and even whole vibrant flowers.

Dendulra speak Common and Sylvan, the tongue of fey creatures. Their fey blood also lets them convey simple ideas to small beasts through sounds and gestures.

History

Origins

Dendulra are counted among the Half Bloods - offspring of magical creatures and mortals - alongside the genie-blooded genasi and the shadow-touched descathi, who are their dark mirror.
