The College of Tragedy was the last of the colleges to emerge, after the rise of Ma’ar the Horror. It began not as a college at all, but as a movement within the others - a current of bards who sought to put greater emphasis on the tragic aspects of the stories they told.
In time the movement gained traction, and though a physical college was never built, its red-cloaked bards make a point of carrying their traditions to bards of every college, insisting that within each and every one a tragic aspect can be found.
