The College of Surrealism
The College of Surrealism
Type Bardic college Pursuit Hidden truths through the unconscious mind Nature Ever-changing, near-undefinable Rooted in The return of magic to Thelemar
The College of Surrealism is the bardic college of the unreachable - an art set on uncovering the hidden truths of the world, the complex thoughts and visions that cannot be grasped without actively seeking them.
History
Since the first spell was sung by Fontina and magic returned to the world, Thelemar rediscovered its love of the arts, and colleges began to appear here and there. Yet for some, the established ways of story, song, and dance no longer sufficed - they yearned to challenge their own perception and consciousness. So the College of Surrealism was formed: an art devoted to discovering the world’s hidden truths and the visions unreachable without actively seeking them.
Nature
As the unconscious mind has no bounds, neither does the College. It is ever-growing, flowing, and forming anew around freshly-birthed thoughts and ideas - an art so fluid that it is nearly undefinable, destroying (its practitioners say) only what it deems the shackles that limit vision.
