The Humble Few
The Humble Few
Type Adventuring company Founded 1498 Disbanded 1540 Origin The village of Dang, north-eastern Clairnia Reputation ”More luck than sense”
The Humble Few were an adventuring company founded in 1498 by four childhood friends from a small village called Dang, in north-eastern Clairnia: Bar Keeper, Henrik Ibsen (later Lt. Ibsen), Bynariz, and Mahito Dolrani - all only sixteen at the time. About a year later, Nigrid Silvermane joined them.
Deeds
In their early days the company was known chiefly for having “more luck than sense,” yet they pulled off a number of genuinely impressive feats:
- they found the first map to lost Kios;
- they devised a way to make an imprint for the bees of Honeyville; and
- they stopped a wicked cult operating in the Daskal plains.
Disappearance and Return
In 1506 the Humble Few vanished, lost to the world for twenty-eight years. When at last they reappeared, they took up adventuring again for several more years under the guidance of the legendary Amilius Grandt, until the company finally disbanded in 1540. Several of its members went on to help found The Center.
