The Clairnian Royal Guard

The Clairnian Royal Guard

Type	Royal military guard
Realm	Clairnia
Former commander	Mikase Shirkan

The Clairnian Royal Guard protects the crown of Clairnia. Before the coup of 1538, its head was the young paladin Mikase Shirkan, who had earned the prestigious post through hard work and martial ability.

The guard was compromised from within before Meltor Fon Umerits seized the throne. Many guards had been tainted by lycanthropy or vampirism and assisted his coup. Mikase uncovered their involvement while investigating Meltor’s return, fought her way out, and killed ten fellow guards during her escape. The source does not establish the guard’s present commander, size, structure, or how thoroughly Meltor has remade it since taking power.
